We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our dynamic engineering department. In this role, you will drive process improvements, increase efficiency, and enhance productivity across manufacturing operations. The organisation designs, develops, and manufactures a wide range of specialist vehicles. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing process improvement strategies to optimize efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Lead and mentor the manufacturing engineering team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Oversee new product projects, ensuring readiness for production, design for manufacture, and coordination of project meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products and processes.
- Work closely with suppliers to evaluate and source new technologies, materials, and equipment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve complex manufacturing issues and optimize production output.
- Maintain accurate documentation, perform statistical analysis, and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering management role.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong design capabilities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (highly desirable).
