R9 Recruitment is delighted to announce an exceptional opportunity to join a respected Heating Contractor Client as a Heat Pump Service Engineer. With two positions available, based in the Leeds/York area, these roles form a crucial part of a dedicated team within an expanding renewable energy business.

Position Details

  • Location: Leeds/York
  • Competitive Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (Dependent on experience)

Benefits included:

  • 42.5-hour workweek (Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:30 pm)
  • Participation in the out-of-hours call-out rota for extra earning opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault diagnostics and repairs for first-time fixes.
  • Attend client sites to perform precise fault-finding and service tasks.
  • Provide technical support to team engineers.
  • Prepare detailed reports for clients and the Regional Technical Manager.

Suitable candidates must have the following:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Minimum of two years experience as a Heat Pump Service Engineer
  • Qualifications including: City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in at least one of the following: Heating & Ventilation, Plumbing & Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, FGAS & ODS Regulations (C&G 2079), CAT 1 G3 unvented cylinders certified
  • Experience with servicing and repairing of gas heating systems would also be an advantage and the qualifications listed below: CCN1, CKR, HTR1, CENWAT, CEN1 and CPA1

Essential competencies:

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
  • Familiarity with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Computer literacy and flexibility to support business needs.

An enhanced DBS check will be conducted for successful candidates.
