This role is a mix of technical engineering, design consultation, and customer engagement.

This is a technical support consulting role, using your civil engineering design and engineering knowledge to help customers, sales teams, and industry professionals. It involves a mix of technical design work, customer interaction, and site visits. You'll be out meeting people, solving problems, and ensuring projects use the best engineering solutions.
Role Responsibilities & Duties:- Creating innovative and sustainable design solutions that set new industry standards.
- Providing engineering and design solutions, working with the sales teams, design team, and internal/external parties to bring cost-effective design applications to life.
- Providing Technical Advice – Supporting customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders with pavement engineering solutions and best practices.
- Creating Design Proposals – Developing technical proposals.
- Customer & Stakeholder Interaction – Engaging with engineers, contractors, architects, and local authorities to offer expertise and build relationships.
- Site Visits & Problem Solving – Visiting sites to assess issues and provide solutions.
- Collaborating with Sales Teams – Working alongside sales teams to ensure technical support.
- Developing knowledge in CAD packages, sustainable drainage design, British standards, highways works, ground conditions, and applying methodologies to provide commercial solutions.
- Commercial thinker who can build relationships, influence, and present information.
- Experience of working in a Technical Sales role or Application Civil Engineer is ideal.
- A proven interest in engineering and design with a natural curiosity.
- Ability to build long and lasting relationships with people at all levels.
- The ability to manage your own time and priorities efficiently.
- Growth mindset and upwardly mobile in your career.
- A passion for a more customer-facing career or experience in a Technical Sales role.
- A Civil Engineering related degree, experience within a designer or major contractor.
- Understanding of construction standards such as DMRB, specification for highway works, BS Design Standards, SuDS design manuals.
- A full driving license and the ability to travel throughout the South of England.
- Relevant backgrounds in Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Water Resources Engineering.
