Senior Data Engineer

𝑺𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑫𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒓 – 𝑳𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒆 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒎 – 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒏 – 𝑼𝒑 𝒕𝒐 £150𝒌 + 𝑩𝒐𝒏𝒖𝒔

WFH: 2 days in the office

Salary: Up to £150k base + guaranteed bonus

One of London\’s highly successful investment firms is looking to build a greenfield cloud hosted data platform to service the firm\’s ever-expanding data needs. This would become a one stop shop for any internal and potential external data consumer, where there will be significant flexibility and scalability of data infrastructure.

This is a large scale project, leveraging the latest in Data Warehouse Tech including: Dremio, Snowflake, Iceberg, PySpark, Glue, EMR, DBT and Dagster.

The tech is mainly Python with some Java for workflow-related tech.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

• 5+ years of experience within Data Engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of end – to – end Data Pipeline development.
• Strong Python coding ability, (in production), with strong software architecture and core principals knowledge. Ideally some Java experience too.
• Excellent AWS or similar cloud knowledge.
• Ideally some experience within Financial Services (preference but not required)
• Previous experience building enterprise wide data and analytics systems.
