The Role
As a Software Developer, you will:
- Build and maintain apps using Node.js, Hapi.js, and React
- Develop responsive UIs using GDS design system and CSS best practices
- Support deployments in AWS and containerisation with Docker
- Participate in Agile delivery and contribute to code reviews
- Troubleshoot across the stack and write clear documentation
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Strong JavaScript skills and web development experience
- Backend knowledge with Node.js, frontend with React
- RESTful API understanding and responsive design basics
- Familiarity with Git, Agile working, and collaborative tools
- Understanding of GDS (Government Digital Services) Guidelines
- Ability to obtain UK SC Clearance if not already in place
Desirable:
- Experience with Hapi.js, Docker, AWS, or DevOps tools
- Exposure to geospatial data or mentoring others
Clearance: Must hold or be willing to obtain SC clearance.
