Job Summary
The Finance Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the hospitals financial operations. This position involves close collaboration with the Chief Executive, Board of Directors, and senior management to ensure efficient, high-quality financial management and support the site in achieving its strategic goals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Administration
Manage and maintain all general accounts administration through a computerised accounting package and spreadsheets.
- Sales and Purchase Ledger Processing
Oversee and process sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
- Bank and Account Reconciliations
Conduct bank reconciliations regularly, and manage petty cash and credit card reconciliations, if applicable.
- Credit Control
Manage credit control procedures as needed to support cash flow and financial stability.
- Management Accounts
Produce management accounts, including Profit & Loss reports, aged debtors and creditors, and intercompany balancing and recharges. Investigate and resolve any accounting discrepancies or anomalies.
- Payroll and Compliance
Oversee monthly payroll processing, including all aspects of PAYE and pensions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Cash Flow Management
Maintain accurate cash flow forecasts and manage cash flow to support operational needs.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet management.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a senior management team.
