Experienced School Caretakers required. We are looking for candidates that have already worked within an educational environment as a caretaker or facilities manager. Roles can be full or part time and split shifts are common, so flexibility is a big part of this role. Hours can start from as early as 6/6:30am and as late as 6pm (later if an event is on).
As a School Caretaker you will be a key holder with possible open/closing responsibilities. You will have experience in maintenance, repairs and DIY. Tasks will include:
- General school maintenance for the building and grounds.
- Repairing faults across the school and playgrounds.
- Conducting fire safety, security and H&S checks for the site.
- Event set up and take down.
- Support and assist colleagues to conduct specific/ad hoc caretaking tasks when required.
- Ensuring the school and grounds are clean and tidy.
- Dealing with both external and internal contractors.
- Grounds work.
You will need to be able to communicate effectively with the SLT & pupils to ensure projects run smoothly. You will be committed to achieving high standards, highly motivated, flexible and hardworking.

As such, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not hold a subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process.
