An insurance group is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to support their Finance team on an interim basis. This is a temporary role to start ASAP (dependent on checks) for an initial 4-month period and will pay £31.00 per hour PAYE. This role is remote, with working hours of 40 per week, Monday to Friday.
The Tax Manager will provide UK tax compliance and reporting support to the business on allocated UK entities. Duties will include:
- Supporting Group Tax Team in the delivery of tax accounting and tax reporting
- Preparing corporate and deferred tax calculations for allocated UK entities' company statutory accounts including drafting required note disclosures
- Preparing corporate tax computations using Alphatax including collating relevant documentation to meet compliance requirements
- Filing of UK corporation tax returns and related returns/forms to tax authorities
- Assisting with integration of recently acquired UK companies
The ideal Tax Manager will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- UK Tax and/or Accountancy qualifications (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Demonstrable experience and proficiency with tax compliance and reporting systems, preferably Alphatax
- UK statutory tax accounting experience, including completion of tax provisions for statutory accounts using tax software, drafting tax notes and agreement of tax accounting disclosures with auditors
- UK tax compliance experience, especially preparation of UK tax computations using tax software using a consistent approach
- Team player with a good work ethic
