We are currently searching for a passionate Clerk of Works who is keen to work with one of the most highly regarded Project Delivery Consultancies in the UK. They pride themselves on having repeat work from a range of high-profile clients and operate across the residential and commercial sectors.

As Clerk of Works you will play a crucial role acting as the clients representative on site, ensuring quality standards are being upheld at all times.

The role:

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure work is carried out to the required standards, specifications, and drawings.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Confirm that construction complies with building regulations, health & safety laws, and legal standards.
  • Workmanship Checks: Inspect the quality of workmanship and materials used.
  • Progress Reporting: Keep detailed records and produce regular reports on site activities, issues, and progress.
  • Defect Identification: Identify and report defects or deviations from plans early.
  • Snagging & Handover: Assist with snagging at project completion and ensure rectification of issues.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a bridge between contractors, the client, architects, and engineers.

Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and building codes.
  • Attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
  • Good communication and reporting abilities.
  • Independence and impartiality must represent the clients best interests.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership.
