Location: Mobile covering London & South East (M25, Essex, Kent, Suffolk); individual will ideally be based in Kent.
Summary of Role
Working as part of a small team you will conduct routine inspections and maintenance of dry riser systems, including visual inspections and tests using specialist equipment.
What you will be doing
- Assist with routine inspections and maintenance of fire hydrant systems.
- Assist with routine inspections and testing to wet riser systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Generate detailed reports of service/job activities in a timely manner along with photos/videos of works carried out.
- Provide technical expertise and support to clients and internal teams.
- Correctly identify any remedial or repair works required using technical knowledge and an understanding of industry safety standards.
- Undertake servicing and repairs of riser systems.
What we will need from you
- Experience of servicing and maintaining dry riser systems.
- Knowledge and experience of wet riser pressure & flow testing in high rise structures.
- Experience of wet riser fire pump testing and adjustment.
- Working knowledge of relevant industry safety standards and regulations highly desirable although training will be provided.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with repair and maintenance to BS9990 standards highly desirable.
- Installation knowledge would be an advantage but not a necessity.
- IFEDA Trained/Certified or equivalent (training can be supplied).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail required to complete job reports on completion of service/inspection.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to be able to interact with customers and clients in a professional manner.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously, whilst also working in a small team.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Willingness to work away from home occasionally.
