The predicted salary is between 60000 - 84000 £ per year.

Planned Maintenance Surveyor £350p/d Umbrella (INSIDE IR35) - with consideration for flexibility dependant on experience. 3 Months Initially (with view for extension in place) Castlepoint Borough Council. Primarily office based with a requirement to regularly travel to sites within the Borough.

What will you do?

  • Carry out repairs and voids inspections and produce schedules of works.
  • Carry out inspections of works in our homes to monitor quality standards and ensure that any follow up work is satisfactorily completed.
  • Monitor health and safety standards throughout work to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Perform general risk management methodologies to minimise risk.
  • Ensure that residents are completely satisfied with all works in their homes and any complaints are managed in a timely and sensitive way.
  • Ensure that all residents are effectively consulted and informed of works, this will extend to mandatory consultation where required by the section 20 process for leasehold properties.
  • Project manage any ad-hoc projects ensuring that works are completed on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
  • Investigate disrepair claims and provide necessary reports and other evidence as required by our legal team.

What do you need?

  • To be successful in your application for this role you will need to demonstrate ALL the following on application and through the interview process:
  • UK Resident.
  • MUST have minimum 3 years' experience of working in a local authority within repairs, maintenance and planned works with the ability to examine the condition of buildings and advise on ways to improve them.
  • Experience of supervising and managing contractors to ensure quality control of work, and commitment to get it right first time.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
  • To observe all of the councils Health and Safety policies, procedures and processes and take all reasonable care to promote health and safety for all.
