Our client, a global organisation, is currently seeking an LGV Driver to join their team based in Great Yarmouth. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Hours: Monday - Friday, working 8:00-17:00, with flexibility required on the hours.
Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours:
- Valid LGV C+E licence
- Certificate of Professional Competence
- ADR licence (preferred)
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Demonstrable experience in a bulk powder delivery role, with excellent safety and hazard awareness.
- Accustomed to working effectively in a challenging environment, adapting to changing priorities/deadlines without compromising high standards under pressure.
- Flexible when required to amend working schedules to achieve customer service delivery.
- Solutions-based and a pro-active contributor to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Actively promotes a pro-active HSEQ culture, ensuring participation and compliance.
- Ability to work stand-alone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while contributing to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role is integral in facilitating the safe and efficient movement of goods while adhering to all safety, legal, and operational standards.
- You will be focused on providing the highest standards of safety and operational performance and flexible to adapt to the needs of the business and our customers.
- Operate vehicles in a safe and effective manner in line with the highway code, minimising the risk of injury or damage to other vehicles and property.
- Perform daily pre-use safety and maintenance checks to ensure vehicle readiness and compliance with company standards.
- Report defects or unsafe conditions to your line supervisor.
- Work in line with the EU driving hour rules and working time directive.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are safely and securely stored when not in use.
- Ensure that weight distribution does not exceed the gross limit.
- Transport Dangerous Goods in compliance with ADR regulations.
- Accept, start, and complete all relevant deliveries and collections using the Transport Management System (TMS).
- Ensure signatures are obtained as proof of delivery within the TMS system.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and lifesaving rules at all times.
