About the role
The role is as an assurance expert helping to build our new assurance team, among an open business culture of reflection and improvement. You’ll report to the Head of Compliance and focus on planning and delivering regulatory compliance monitoring within our WPA Assurance Plan.
There will be opportunities to perform wider assurance activities to support the Chief Risk Officer and Head of Internal Audit to maintain and enhance WPA’s risk management systems and ISO compliance activities.
The starting salary is £38,000 to £45,000 depending on experience. The role is full time (37 hours per week) and is based in our office on Blackbrook Business Park in Taunton, TA1 2PE. Suitable candidates must live within a commutable distance of our office in Taunton. The role is office-based, with some hybrid working opportunities on a non-contractual basis.

· Ability to balance multiple pieces of ongoing review work at different stages of progress.
· Desire to deepen and expand your knowledge of WPA’s regulatory obligations.
· Great at managing relationships and engaging successfully with senior stakeholders across the business.
· Preparing focussed and clear written communication.
· Working flexibly reporting to multiple stakeholders as required, and
· Perhaps most importantly, an appetite to learn new things and help build a new team.
