Position overview: The Ad Ops Manager is a core part of our People, Platforms and Precision function, which will collaborate with technology, biddable, data and analytics to deliver highly effective and accurate campaigns in an ever-changing digital ecosystem. We are looking for someone organised and keen to learn, who thrives in a lively, fast-paced agency, where no day is the same.
This position will be responsible for maintaining the relationship with our overseas ad operations hub, ensuring the necessary processes and training are in place to deliver accuracy and efficiencies in campaign setup and activation, as well as supporting the Technology Director with roll out of proprietary technology solutions. The Ad Ops Manager will be responsible for the management and nurturing of a Senior Exec within the team.
At Kinesso your roles and responsibilities will be centred around the below core competencies. These include but are not limited to:
- Client Service
- Ensuring that campaigns are setup and delivered in a timely fashion and to a high standard of accuracy within defined client SLAs.
- Support the Technology director with consulting on clients Adtech and Martech stacks, offering recommendations for driving efficiencies and future-proofing.
- Offer advanced knowledge of Adtech platforms such as tag management, server side tracking and creative personalisation to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Process and Standardisation
- Ensure data best practice is adhered to across each stage of the trafficking and setup process, including consultation, education and documentation of taxonomy and campaign hierarchy.
- Support the relationship with 3rd party AdTech partners, ensuring ways of working and timelines are efficient and inline with client expectations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve automation tools and scripts to ensure workflow efficiency, working closely with the Technology Augmentation Group (TAG) to share feedback and requirements to improve workflow efficiency.
- Commercial
- Troubleshoot technical issues in a timely manner to limit any budget wastage and document/error log as appropriate to prevent similar issues in future.
- Support Technology Director in identifying additional revenue streams with clients across Media brands proprietary tool set.
- Career Development & Team Management
- Oversee relationship and process with our trafficking hub to ensure accuracy and compliance with all campaign setup.
- Nurture junior Ad Ops members, offering training and instilling a culture of knowledge sharing, particularly on more complex technical subjects.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and benchmarks, particularly in the space of user privacy and ID-based targeting through training and events, and communicate this knowledge to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Concentrate Kinesso data, tech and tools into day to day. Energise your team to make effective use of technology to maximise client outcomes.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Solid experience in ad operations, preferably from a media agency.
- Management and development of junior team members.
- Ability to collaborate with and set expectations for a number of different stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Strong organisation and project management skills, including the ability multitask, to prioritise across multiple simultaneous workstreams and to effectively delegate to colleagues.
- Demonstratable expertise in the area of AdTech, including trafficking, site tagging, audience management and addressable creative.
- Clear communication and ability to translate the complex into the simple regardless of the knowledge level of the relevant stakeholders.
- A passion for data and accuracy and being fully up to speed with automation capabilities.
- Be up to speed with key industry challenges around GDPR, privacy and the deprecation of third party cookies.
- Familiarity with debugging techniques and basic programming languages, primarily Javascript and the ability to use web develop tools to network trace errors.
