About the role

As a Transformation Officer, you'll play a vital role in coordinating, delivering, and driving forward our transformation programme - helping us create smarter, more efficient services that put customers first.
Key responsibilities:
- Support and lead key transformation projects, ensuring they align with the council's strategic goals.
- Work closely with services to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and cost savings.
- Apply business analysis techniques to document requirements and shape service redesign.
- Be an ambassador for change, helping teams embrace new ways of working and sustain improvements.
- Facilitate collaboration, ensuring seamless processes across different departments.
- Use data and evidence to challenge current ways of working and drive informed decision-making.
- Ensure risk is managed effectively during change, while maintaining business-as-usual performance.

About You
We need someone with the skills, drive, and mindset to make change happen. You should have:
- A relevant qualification (BTEC, HND, HNC, NVQ Level 4/5) or 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- A strong understanding of systems thinking, lean principles, and performance management.
- Project management experience, with a track record of delivering improvements.
- A problem-solving mindset, using data and insights to drive decisions.
- The ability to influence and engage teams, helping them embrace transformation.
- A focus on customer experience, ensuring services meet real needs while improving efficiency.

Special Conditions
- You will be expected to work reasonable additional hours in line with the needs of the service.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to travel/access to a vehicle for work purposes.
