We are seeking a Transport Controller to join our team at the Linwood site. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring service schedules are completed on time and in full, whilst monitoring vehicle and driver compliance in accordance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and communicating detailed route plans.
- Being the main point of contact for drivers, assisting with any day-to-day issues and query resolution.
- Liaising with all internal departments e.g. Customer Care, Workshop, Operations, Weighbridge and Finance.
- Monitoring working time regulations, addressing all non-conformance.
- Conducting daily driver debriefs to ensure optimal service levels and compliance.
- Overseeing the management of absences and holidays for all drivers.
- Co-ordinating with on site garage to present vehicles and trailers for safety inspections and defect repairs in a timely manner.
- Managing the company process following accidents and incidents including the completion of relevant systems.
- Completing daily and weekly KPI reports and following up on poor performance.
- Other ad-hoc duties to improve inter-departmental performance.
