This privately owned Hotel on the beautiful coastline near Scarborough is looking for a Head Chef to join and lead their kitchen brigade. Offering guests a luxury stay in one of their beautifully designed bedrooms, the Restaurant boasts plenty of character, offering a relaxed dining experience in the Bar and a more formal dining experience in the Restaurant.
As Head Chef, you will be overseeing the kitchen team, from Kitchen Porter to the Sous Chef; a kitchen brigade of up to 4.
What we need from you:
- This client would like to push their menu forward in the future to gain Rosettes, so previous experience as Head Chef in a Rosette establishment is preferred.
- Maintaining the day to day running of the kitchen.
- Liaising with purchasing companies for food orders.
- Managing and training Junior Chefs in the team to ensure high culinary standards.
- Developing new dishes and menus.
- Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety.
- Maintaining or raising the profit margins on food.
