About Us: Technical Absorbents, a leader in the development and production of super absorbent fibre technology, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Grimsby. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems to enhance our manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.
- Conduct detailed analyses to optimise equipment performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry regulations.
- Perform and deliver on defined maintenance tasks to drive optimum productivity.
- Ability to adapt within a small engineering team to assist colleagues of a different discipline in order to complete a given task or plant breakdown.
- Providing a level of personal flexibility and operating on a 'best endeavours' system to attend breakdowns out of normal working hours to allow operations to continue as smoothly as possible.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- HNC in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
