We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Female Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for a woman with a diagnosis of autism, living independently in the heart of Consett. The individual has full capacity and leads a structured lifestyle, requiring respectful, consistent support to maintain her independence and routines.
Daily Routine Includes:
- Independently managing her personal care and medication
- Going into town (Consett/Sunderland) to buy her evening meal
- Enjoying local shopping trips and outings with support staff
This role is not based within a CQC-regulated service, but you will be working under the support and values of Ashleigh House, which is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a non-registered setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Person-Centred Support: Implement support plans that align with the individual’s routines, preferences, and outcomes.
- Promoting Independence: Encourage and enable the person supported to make their own decisions and complete tasks independently.
- Community Engagement: Accompany the individual on shopping trips and outings in Consett, Sunderland, and surrounding areas.
- Medication Support: Assist in overseeing self-medication and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Health & Lifestyle: Support the individual in maintaining a healthy and structured daily routine.
- Safety & Environment: Maintain a clean, safe living environment and adhere to all health and safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, person-centred records and communication logs in line with policy and best practice.
