GS2 is working with a leading social housing provider to appoint a Senior Property Compliance Manager. This is a pivotal leadership role, ensuring the organisation’s property portfolio remains compliant, safe, and fit for purpose supporting residents and communities across the region.
As Senior Property Compliance Manager reporting into the Head of Property, you’ll be responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of all landlord compliance obligations, including gas, fire, electrical, water hygiene, asbestos, and lift safety. You’ll also lead on building safety compliance, manage contractors, develop internal processes, and report directly to senior stakeholders. This is a role with real scope to influence safety culture, drive innovation, and protect lives through high-quality compliance practices.
Key duties and responsibilities:- Oversee all property compliance activity, including inspections, certification, servicing, and audit.
- Manage fire safety strategy, risk assessments, incident investigations, and contractor performance.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records across the property management system.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and asset registers.
- Manage compliance budgets effectively and ensure value for money.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes and translate them into operational practice.
- Report regularly to senior management and act as the competent person for property safety compliance.
- Being an experienced compliance leader, comfortable navigating complex safety obligations and confident managing both people and processes.
- Strong attention to detail, thrive on accountability, and can work cross-functionally to deliver real impact.
- Minimum of 5 years in a property compliance role.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation (gas, fire, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene, etc).
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, audits, and certifications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
