A leading Media - Publishing Firm based in N1 are seeking a German speaking Bookkeeper.
Job Description:
- Transactional Finance: Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, expense claims, and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Bank Reconciliations: Ensure all bank transactions are recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage payments to suppliers and track outstanding invoices.
- Liaison with German Tax Accountants: Work closely with our external accountants in Germany to ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- VAT & Tax Compliance: Support VAT return preparation, ensuring compliance with UK and German regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial summaries and month-end reconciliations.
- Ad-hoc Finance Support: Take ownership of various finance-related administrative tasks and assist with audits and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
- Experience in bookkeeping or finance administration, ideally within an agency or SME environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience in Sage 50 would be an advantage).
