Copello is working with a leading Defence organisation to recruit a Fire Safety Specialist to play a key role in ensuring robust fire protection across complex construction and facility projects. This role will be central to developing and implementing fire prevention measures and advising on fire safety compliance from initial design through to project delivery.
SC Clearance (or the ability to obtain) is essential and individuals must be a sole British Citizen. Salary - Β£53,000 / Β£58,000 plus package. Location - Hybrid, with 2/3 days a week in Cumbria.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and enforcement of fire safety protocols and prevention strategies
- Conduct fire safety inspections and audits across construction projects in line with CDM Regulations
- Offer expert fire risk mitigation guidance to stakeholders across various sites
- Review technical documentation such as fire strategy reports and architectural plans to ensure fire protection is integrated into the facility design process
- Perform comprehensive fire risk assessments on a variety of complex and high-risk buildings
- Create and shape fire strategy documentation to support both new and existing site infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience as a fire safety professional, offering dependable fire safety consultancy across diverse building projects
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety standards and design guidance, including BS9999 and Approved Document B
- Proven ability to carry out complex fire risk assessments, assess early-stage project designs, and outline fire safety requirements within industrial settings
- Skilled in managing fire safety considerations from design through construction, commissioning, and final handover
- Comfortable producing retrospective fire strategies for operational buildings
