Job Summary
A fantastic opportunity to join a leading engineering firm within the aerospace industry, dedicated to saving lives worldwide. As a Logistics Operative in the Packing Department, you will play a key role in preparing, packing, and labelling products and components for internal transport and dispatch to customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary and final packing of parts, components, and products according to customer and technical requirements.
- Validating batch numbers, part descriptions, and quantities against the SAP system, reporting discrepancies.
- Ensuring appropriate packing materials, clear labelling, and accurate delivery instructions.
- Coordinating with the Logistics team and Shipping Clerk for timely dispatch.
- Conducting self-inspection and quality checks.
- Performing multi-skilled duties in Detail Stores, Raw Material Stores, and Internal Transport.
- Accurately picking, packing, and issuing materials and stock.
- Receiving and processing goods from external sources.
- Internal transportation using forklifts, electric pallet stackers, and scissor lift equipment.
- Undertaking raw material store duties such as saw operation.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in stores and packing within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Structured, methodical approach with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
