Location: Meriden, Onsite 5 days a week

About the Role:

My client is looking for a Junior Software Developer to join their growing IT team at Pertemps Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in software development and contribute to innovative projects that support the business's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of in-house applications and software solutions.
  • Work closely with senior developers to improve existing systems and develop new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions on best practices.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand business requirements and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation for all development processes.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks.
  • Understanding of database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
