ACCA is committed to a workplace culture which is inclusive, diverse, human and connected. We're currently looking for a Learning and Assessment Technology Consultant on a full time, permanent basis. This position is within ACCA's IT team. We are flexible on the location of this role as we operate a 'digital first' approach.
The Learning and Assessment Technology Consultant is a subject matter expert within the Learning and Assessment Technology team with specific responsibility for the maturing, growth, governance, and control across learning and assessment technologies.
The Job
- Oversee the technical translation of and alignment to IT strategic direction for learning and assessment technologies.
- Lead the development of learning and assessment technology in support of the continued stability and development of exams and learning systems.
- Lead the development of learning and assessment technology to exploit future market opportunities.
- Lead the development of learning and assessment technology to ensure future flexibility and innovation in our delivery models.
- Develop the learning and assessment practice through the application of best practice and industry standards including customer experience, regulatory, and security in conjunction with business product owners and SMEs.
- Act as a learning and assessment technology evangelist and advocate for IT across the organisation.
The Person
- Background in leading technology in a learning and assessment environment.
- Experience of working in organisations undergoing significant transformation.
- Has worked with and developed high-volume online exam delivery technology systems.
- Experience of working with and developing learning management technology.
- Experience of software development environments and approaches.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, modern integration, and information management approaches.
- Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of detailed technical concepts and to apply this understanding to everyday business problems.
- Strong influencing skills with both internal staff and external stakeholders with the ability to provide clear and non-technical advice/interpretation of complex information.
- Stakeholder management and reporting up to director level.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think laterally and conceptually.
