University College Birmingham has an opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our Strategic Planning and Reporting Team to support with internal and external reporting in both further and higher education.
Key parts of the role include:
- Extracting and manipulating data to produce standardised monthly/weekly reports.
- Supporting the Strategic Planning and Reporting Team with developments in reporting and efficiencies in process.
- Writing long form data analysis pieces which can inform planning and strategy at the Institution.
- Provide support with working groups and projects.
- Resolving data issues and ensuring consistency and accuracy between reports.
- Manage the team inbox and deal with staff data requests.
Preferred experience would include:
- Experience in using Microsoft Power BI or equivalent.
- Experience in using data analysis tools (e.g. SPSS, R, Python).
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Maths, Science, Social Science, Data Analytics).
This role is suitable for someone with analytical abilities who has experience in data analysis techniques and processes. The successful candidate would be keen to develop their data analysis skills further to support the University’s Strategic Planning & Reporting Team.
