Job Opportunity: Driver/Porter - 10-Week Peak Period
We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join us for a 10-week assignment for our well-known DIY supplier client during their peak period. This is a Monday to Saturday role, working alongside another driver throughout the busy period.
- Duration: 10 weeks
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday
- Location: Gillingham
- Job Type: Temporary (Peak Period Work)
- Starting: 13/04/25
Your Role: You will work as part of a two-person team, with one driver and one porter on each day. For 3 days per week, you will be the 7.5t driver, with your colleague as the porter. For the remaining 3 days, the roles will be reversed, and you will be the porter while your colleague drives.
You must:
- Have a full UK Driving Licence
- Have a valid CPC with a 7.5 entitlement with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Have a Digital Tachograph
- Have experience driving the vehicle type (7.5t)
- Be willing to rotate between the driving and porter role
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
Saturdays: 1.5x pay
Sundays: 2x pay
You will be paid the driver's rate for the entire week, regardless of whether you're in the driver or porter role.
