A leading advanced manufacturing business in Northampton is currently seeking a skilled CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-precision components across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture one-off and small batch precision components to high tolerances
- Set and operate 3 & 5 axis vertical milling machines
- Work from detailed engineering drawings
- Operate CNC machinery using HAAS and Siemens controllers
- Work with a variety of materials, including plastics, foams, and composites
- Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all machining processes
The Candidate
- Experienced in setting and operating CNC mills
- Experience operating vertical milling machines essential
- Background in high-precision industries such as F1, Aerospace, or Oil & Gas is desirable
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Knowledge of HAAS & Siemens control systems is advantageous
- A formal apprenticeship is desirable but not essential
The Package
The salary for this position is £14 – £16 per hour, dependent on skills, experience, and ability to meet the key requirements of the role.
