As the business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our renewables team by recruiting an experienced renewable energy consulting engineer, to be based in our Stockport office who will play a key role in our ambitious expansion plans.

We are looking for:

  • a good science or engineering-based degree.
  • previous experience of using industry standard software (PV Sys, PV Case) to make solar resource and energy yield assessments.
  • prior experience with the undertaking of feasibility studies and design reviews.
  • significant project management experience gained during the development, construction or operational phases of large-scale solar farm energy projects.
  • experience in the financing of renewable energy projects, ideally including technical due diligence exposure.
  • good understanding of the key technical risks with solar projects, including the ability to identify potential technical design or installation risks.
  • knowledge of standard forms of contract and their applicability to the construction and renewable energy project sector.
  • the ability to correctly interpret electrical drawings, models, specifications and functional descriptions.
  • prior experience with the preparation of high-quality technical reports and models for clients.
  • able and willing to travel in the UK and EU for client meetings, site visits, factory tests, etc.
  • Able to work in the UK without any visa restrictions.
