This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading FMCG business in a newly created role as they drive their strategic customer plans to the next level. This role is based in the UK, but will lead category management across the EMEA region. The business wants to redefine what Category Management means in their sector and be at the absolute forefront of the industry.
You will work closely with the Insights and Sales teams and lead the Category team to ultimately support business growth. We are looking for someone who has worked in a complex category environment before and understands brands and how they interact with private label.

What you’ll be doing:
- Influencing Category initiatives short, medium and long term, engaging and influencing a broad range of stakeholders with your customer to establish collaborative customer relationships centred on trust and objectivity.
- Monitoring, tracking and implementing smart reporting tools on Category Data and Insights.
- Providing strategic planning insights to the annual operating plan, supporting the Product Leadership team.
- People Management of the team, looking at hiring, retaining and succession planning of a high performing team.
- Working with sales to establish strong category plans and growth enablers across the client base.
- Aligning with marketing on brand strategy and development.
- Designing and developing best in class, innovative category strategies across the whole of EMEA.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Led and managed category teams across reputable FMCG businesses.
- Category Management expertise including shopper marketing, data and analytics.
- The ability to craft storytelling and presentation skills at a high level with strategic clients and retailers.
- Analysis, review and validation of key customer commercial activities for the customer's category.
- Experience of IGD/Kantar/Europanel/Dunnhumby.
- Experience across international markets (desirable).
- Language skills (desirable).
