Are you passionate about people and driven to make a real impact in a fast-paced, supportive environment? Our client is looking for a proactive HR Manager to join a growing team in Castleford. As the sole HR Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting both employees and managers across a broad range of HR functions. This role will be covering a multi-site and circa of 150 employees, covering performance management to supporting policy development and staff wellbeing, this is a hands-on, stand alone role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and support on employee relations issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management.
  • Support managers with performance management and coaching conversations.
  • Assist with policy development and implementation.
  • Contribute to HR projects focused on employee engagement, wellbeing, and organisational development.
  • Maintain up-to-date HR records and ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop clear, consistent, and engaging job descriptions that support recruitment and internal progression.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to line managers, coaching them through people processes and building their confidence in handling day-to-day HR matters.
  • Identify development needs and support the design and delivery of learning initiatives that drive personal growth and team capability.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A wealth of experience in generalist HR.
  • Educated to degree level in Human Resources Business Administration and/or a formal HR certification.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Passionate about supporting people to grow and managers to lead effectively.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
