MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To sell, market and promote the client hotels of Soul & Story Collection to the travel trade in the UK market, resulting in generated sales, product and brand awareness.
- To establish the represented client hotels as preferred product choice in their respective destinations within the UK travel trade and maintain such status.
- To nurture and grow relationships of Soul & Story Collection with all partners.

Soul & Story Collection is the commercial brand of Revpar Marketing S.L., a privately owned company with limited liability. Its legal base is in Barcelona, Spain. It maintains a registered subsidiary in Munich, Germany. Established in 2011. Soul & Story Collection provides strategic B2B sales & marketing services to its curated portfolio of luxury hotels with soul and a story. We service the following markets: Spain, Portugal, The United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Scandinavia and Benelux. The ultimate objective is to increase our client’s business volume, market share, profitability and competitive ranking.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
- Internally: The Founder & Director and our team
- Hotel clients: The Owners/ Owners Representatives, General Managers, Executive Teams, Sales and Reservations Teams
- Affiliations/ Partners: Serandipians, XO Private, other representation companies
- Externally: tour operators, travel agencies, Destination Management Companies, airline offices, incentive houses, event organizers. Occasional contact with media, journalists, PR agents and similar business partners across Europe.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pro-actively driving the commercial promotion of our client hotels through daily contact with the UK travel trade (email, phone, Skype, personal visits, trade show attendance)
- Key account management and database maintenance
- Conducting product presentations, trainings and webinars
- Negotiating website features and brochure inclusions to maximise visibility and exposure of our hotels
- Circulation of news and updates
- Supply of rates, information and sales material to business partners
- Obtaining market intelligence relevant to the client hotels
- Distribution of tactical offers to enhance pick-up, as launched by our client hotels
- Organisation of participation of all relevant trade shows, either representing our clients or for their own attendance
- Organisation of sales trips and road shows across the UK
- Organisation of fam trips (group or individual) for product managers and sales/ reservations agents to our client hotels
- Hosting and accompanying group fam trips with selected trade partners
- Managing all follow-ups of sales calls and trade shows
- Regular communication with the GMs and property teams, ensuring reservations, VIP’s, site inspections, fam trips and events are managed and coordinated appropriately by the hotel operations
- Sourcing of new potential business partners and sales opportunities
- To produce comprehensive rate comparisons, competitor surveys and market research as and when required
- To produce a detailed monthly activity report listing serviced accounts as well as communication content, feedback, market intelligence and forward planning for each assigned client hotel

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar sales role in luxury hotels or a hotel representation
- Good knowledge of hotel business and operations as well as the nature of the luxury travel trade and its requirements
- Good knowledge of Africa and Asia as luxury destinations
- Fluent in English (oral and writing)
- Fluency in French would be an advantage
