We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join a well-established logistics and freight forwarding team. Working a consistent Monday to Friday schedule (7am - 5pm), the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to various locations across Northern Ireland.
This position requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and excellent time management, with the driver playing a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate HGV and trailer units in full compliance with traffic laws and company safety standards
- Transport and handle container and curtainsider trailer loads
- Secure loads properly to ensure safe transit
- Perform daily vehicle checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records
- Communicate effectively with the in-house transport team regarding schedules and any delays
- Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption
- Adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures
- Undertake other duties as required
- Full HGV Class 1 Licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Minimum 2 years' experience with HGV container driving
- Proven experience with both container and curtainsider trailer loads
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
