We have a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative architectural practice, with an international presence, as their bids specialist. You will be part of a well-established, global business that is rapidly expanding and will be involved in some exciting, unique, forward-thinking projects. In this role you will be responsible for preparing fee proposals for existing and prospective projects, ensuring compliance with tender requirements and maximising their chances of success. This is initially a contract role, 3-6 months, with a view to the role becoming more permanent. They are open to the role being hybrid or remote, but can also be based full time in their offices in Central London. Italian language skills would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce commercial bids for future projects and additional work on existing projects, coordinating with the Managing Director/Head of Business Development.
- Collaborate with potential sub-consultants to obtain necessary materials in a timely manner for compliant proposal assembly.
- Obtain internal approvals for all fee elements.
- Ensure accurate input and updates of proposed and agreed fees for clients project controlling platform (CMAP).
- Develop detailed project proposal methodology statements/plans that outline working methods across all project phases.
- Assist with fee negotiations, contract appendix drafting, client Q&A, and ongoing project-related tasks.
- Support the Business Development team as needed, including proposal development/production and team building.
- Coordinate with ongoing cross-department projects.
Skills and experience
- Proven professional experience in an administrative or operations capacity at an architecture firm or related industry.
- Proficiency in InDesign.
- Mixed educational background in design/construction and business.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to work confidentially and efficiently with complex spreadsheets.
- Thorough knowledge of international construction industry practices and work stages.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to understand and analyse fine print.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, proofreading, and document production skills.
