Our client, a specialist building envelope contractor with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a Draughtsperson to join their design team. This position can be based from either their head office in Staines-upon-Thames or their Darlington office. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and detailing of roofing and cladding systems across a wide range of commercial projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with technical drawing experience in the construction industry to join an established and forward-thinking team.

- Salary: £35k - £43k - Potentially more dependent on experience.
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
- Monday - Thursday: 8am - 5pm, Friday: 8am - 4pm

Role Overview
- Produce detailed drawings, general arrangements, and material schedules for roofing and cladding systems
- Interpret project specifications, tender documentation, and enquiry drawings
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to obtain necessary design information
- Attend design meetings and project handovers
- Identify variations and update drawings accordingly
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for specialist design elements
- Review and update as-built drawings as required
- Support and mentor junior design staff when needed
Requirements
- HNC or equivalent in a design-related subject
- Previous experience in a design or draughting role within construction
- Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with 3D software is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with roofing and cladding systems is highly beneficial, including flat roofing, metal roofing, rainscreen cladding, and composite panels
