Digital Skills is proud to partner with a global travel brand in search of an experienced Accountant/Controller to lead accurate and timely financial reporting for a key division of the business. This role requires a qualified accountant with a strong background in large, complex organisations and the ability to manage a fast-paced month-end process with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Review and approve key journal entries, ensuring clarity and proper documentation
- Oversee general ledger reconciliations with detailed supporting analysis
- Manage compliance across SOX, tax, statutory, and statistical filings
- Lead and develop a team of three
- Support internal and external audits
- Contribute to broader finance initiatives and process improvements
- Collaborate with wider finance teams and Technical Accounting to ensure proper treatment and resolution of accounting issues
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (essential)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working within large organisations or group environments
- Hands-on experience with month-end reporting in a large corporate environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
- High attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset
- Proven people management experience
- Flexible and proactive approach
- SAP and/or experience with Corporation Tax or VAT is a plus, but not essential
