We are representing a premium Irish whiskey brand with ambitious global expansion plans. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Global Travel Retail Manager to lead their strategy across duty-free, airport retail, airline, cruise, and border shop channels, prioritising market development in the Middle East and Asia.

The Opportunity: This is a strategic role for a commercially driven spirits professional with global travel retail expertise and regional market experience in the Middle East and Asia. The successful candidate will take ownership of expanding brand presence, increasing sales, and building relationships with key distributors, retailers, and operators across travel retail and domestic markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Travel Retail Strategy: Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive sales across duty-free, airports, airlines, and cruise sectors.
  • Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with travel retail buyers and key stakeholders.
  • Market Expansion: Establish and execute a growth plan for the Middle East and Asia, identifying key distributors and retail partners.
  • Brand Activation: Lead marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and merchandising strategies to enhance visibility in key international locations.
  • Sales & Commercial Performance: Negotiate contracts, manage P&L, and track market trends to optimise brand success.
  • Industry Representation: Act as a brand ambassador at major trade events and networking opportunities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years’ experience in global travel retail and/or premium spirits sales.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiations, P&L management, and distributor partnerships.
  • Proven track record in duty-free and high-traffic airport retail.
  • Experience in Middle East & Asian markets is highly desirable.
  • Self-starter mindset, able to work independently and adapt to diverse cultural environments.
  • Passion for Irish whiskey and premium spirits, with the ability to tell a compelling brand story.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across global and regional markets.
