A Quantity Surveyor job in Sussex for a developer that builds and converts bespoke houses and flats. Your new company is a Sussex-based property developer that specialises in creating luxury, design-led residential flats and houses, with a focus on converting period buildings and offices, as well as crafting bespoke new-build homes. Their core values emphasise ethical building practices to minimise carbon footprints, fostering positive community impacts, reducing the environmental effects of modern living, and building strategic long-term partnerships.
Your new role as a Quantity Surveyor is to work autonomously on the construction finances of up to three developments at the same time in the Sussex area on residential projects for their customer base. The projects are valued from £2 to £6 million and can be traditional new-build modern houses, town centre flats and refurbishments of existing properties. You will be working with the client team to ensure the programming of the projects is staggered to ensure there are no major crunch points with procurement/end of projects. You will be dealing with subcontractors to process applications for payment and valuations are submitted to the customer and their representative on time and within budget.
What you'll need to succeed is a UK qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction and have substantial experience in the UK as a Quantity Surveyor within the field of residential building contracting. You will have a stable work history, excellent communication skills, IT literate and be proficient in delivering contracts with a track record of financial success.
What you'll get in return is a competitive salary of £60,000 plus benefits such as holiday pay, pension and the opportunity for promotion and development within this fast-expanding organisation. This role is based in an office in Sussex and would involve site visits plus offering the flexibility to work from home for some part of the working week.
