Working for a leading financial services provider in Chesterfield, you will be part of a growing organisation who need to recruit and train new staff to join as Trainee Pensions Administrators. This will provide a unique opportunity to be trained to a high level in pension administration and develop into a long-term career within pensions administration.

  • Full time - 36 hours a week Monday to Friday - standard office hours 9am - 5pm
  • In office based through training; upon completion of training, a hybrid working option will be provided with 2 days a week working from home

The successful candidates will need to have a good level of literacy and numeracy, decision-making processing skills and interact well with others. Successful applicants will ideally have some recent and prior business administration or office-based customer service admin experience.

Duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Active participation in a learning programme - this will include a training timetable to assist with progression to a Pensions Administrator
  • On a day-to-day basis alongside a planned learning programme, you will process member pension benefits under the rules of the pension/members leaving procedures
  • Update the relevant pensions administration systems/database to ensure accuracy of information corresponding with benefits entitlements
  • Customer Service - communications with members regarding entitlements and member queries - written and verbal communication
  • General business admin/customer service tasks
  • Use of internal software and MS Office

What you'll need to succeed:

The successful applicants will have the desire to want to build a long-term career and future as a Pensions Administrator. Our client is looking for people to join who are ambitious and willing to learn with a positive mindset. These positions are office-based in Chesterfield, so the successful applicants must be able to reach Chesterfield easily to attend work daily. Business Admin/Customer Service Administration experience is preferred. A high level of numeracy will be required and successful applicants must have a good level of literacy and communication skills.
