We are seeking an experienced professional with experience in producing events, programming and promoting to join us in developing and rolling out new event concepts at MEGA. They should be experienced in event promotion, routing tours, negotiating tour/venue deals as well as managing budgets and forecasting tour accounts for shows up to arena level capacity. They will be the main point of contact with venues from booking dates through to event completion.
Job Responsibilities:
- Producing tradition and/or experiential event concepts
- Collating venue availabilities
- Sourcing & booking venues globally
- Processing contracts
- Forecasting tour finances & budget setting
- Calculating profit and loss accounts for shows
- Relationship management with artist stakeholders
- Artist management & development
- Updating databases and schedules with show information
- Line managing the day-to-day needs of each production
- Ensuring that all contractors work within all rules, regulations and local bylaws in conjunction with relevant production staff
Required Skills:
- Ability to prioritise a complex workload and delegate reasonably as appropriate
- Minimum of three years’ experience in comparable producing or promoting roles within the music or live entertainment industries
- Strong understanding of venue contracts and rental agreements
- You can work autonomously as well as working with a vibrant team
- An understanding of event production, touring logistics and ticketing/box office
- A keen interest in live music/events
- Motivated team-player with excellent interpersonal skills
- An understanding of event marketing within the live music sector
- Demonstrable experience of promoting, producing or general managing large scale live music or theatrical events
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- High level of numeracy and advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience with diary management
- Calm and pro-active under pressure
Knowledge of health and safety, insurance, licensing and other legal obligations for live performance.
Salary: £40,000 (£50,000 OTE)
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time, permanent position
- The role will be based at our office in North Acton, London
- Working hours are 10:00 – 18:00 / Monday to Friday
- Occasional travel, both within UK and Internationally
