Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a prestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase of the project includes the design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium-ion battery facility, ancillary buildings, and site-wide external works.
We are looking for an experienced Induction Manager with a strong background in construction to oversee all site inductions of subcontractors.
The Induction Manager role involves:
- Organisation, coordination and delivery of all site inductions for subcontractors, staff and visitors.
- Evidence compliance with SRMs health & safety regulations and company procedures.
- Effective communication on comprehensive and interactive site inductions.
- Compliance with statutory and company procedures, including health & safety and environmental standards.
- Engagement with all members of the project team to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
- Managing and directing the induction process, including planning and scheduling inductions.
- Understanding the status of the Project and ensuring the delivery of the induction is up to date.
- Working with the Project team to provide communication updates, including site notice boards and SRM digital systems to support operative messaging on Buildsure initiatives.
- Support delivery of Green Skills training to operatives onsite.
Your profile:
- Work experience within the construction industry is of benefit, but not essential.
- A good understanding of the importance of health & safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
- Experience in managing site inductions and ensuring compliance is of benefit, but not essential.
- Outgoing, engaging personality with excellent communication & organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confident in the delivery of positive presentations.
