Dove & Hawk are working exclusively with a Residential Property & Asset Management firm that is looking for a Live-In Concierge/Porter for one of their sites in North West London (NW8). They are looking for someone professional and reliable who has prior experience in a Residential Concierge/Porter role and who can create a friendly, welcoming, secure & clean environment for all residents within the building. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the maintenance and management of a prestigious residential property.
Duties/Functions of the role:
- Maintain accurate records in the daybook, including arrivals and departures of residents, visitors, and contractors.
- Ensure high standards of security for both residents and visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols at irregular intervals to ensure the security of the premises.
- Monitor CCTV systems and report any incidents or observations to management promptly.
- Ensure entrance lobbies and common areas remain clean, tidy, and free of debris.
- Supervise contract cleaners to ensure high cleanliness standards across the building.
- Conduct daily inspections of lifts and boilers and report defects immediately to management.
- Monitor contractors appointed by the managing agent to work in the common areas to ensure compliance with building regulations and working hours.
- Perform minor repairs in common areas and report significant defects to management.
- Provide assistance to residents, ensuring a high level of customer service and responsiveness to their needs.
- Sort and distribute mail to residents.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of fire safety procedures and assist during evacuations if necessary.
- Document contractors' visits, including their purpose, arrival, departure times, and progress on tasks.
- Assist the managing agent with coordinating the porterage schedule or overseeing the work of other part-time or weekend porters as required.
Requirements of the role:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and the ability to carry out minor repairs.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with fire safety procedures and emergency response.
Salary & Benefits: £28,000pa with an On-Site Studio apartment provided as part of the role.
Required working hours: 5.5 days a week: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm; Saturday 8am to 12pm.
