OTE: £55,000pa

Basic Salary: £46,956pa

Working Hours: 40 Hours

  • Week 1 - Monday-Friday - 07:00-15:00
  • Week 2 - Monday-Friday - 15:00-23:00 & Saturday 07:00-13:00 (at overtime rate)

Location: Peterborough

Overtime - Time and a Half Monday-Saturday & Double Pay Sundays and Bank Holidays worked + call out.

25 days holiday, rising to 30 + bank holidays

As the shift/workshop supervisor, you will play a key role in leading the team of HGV technicians, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to high standards. You will act as a hands-on leader, supporting technicians on the shop floor while coordinating workloads, maintaining quality control, and liaising with the Service Manager to meet operational targets.

Responsibilities of an HGV Shift Supervisor:

  • Routine vehicle maintenance to DVSA standards.
  • Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspection.
  • Diagnosing of vehicles diagnostic equipment.
  • Good housekeeping and H&S requirements.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed.
  • Working closely with the team to create high levels of morale and focus to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and with excellence in quality.
  • Maximising the shifts performance through effective problem solving, coaching & development.

Skills and Qualifications of an HGV Shift Supervisor:

  • Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
  • HGV licence is an advantage
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience
