The DRVN Automotive Group are seeking a talented and experienced video editor to join the team, specialising in creating dynamic and engaging content for both short-form social media platforms and long-form storytelling on YouTube. The ideal candidate will have experience and passion for all things automotive and creating visually captivating videos, with a strong understanding of the automotive social media landscape and what appeals to audiences.

Role Responsibilities- Short-Form Content Creation
- Edit and assemble raw video footage into attention-grabbing short-form videos optimised for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
- Ensure all videos meet platform-specific requirements, including aspect ratio, captions, and best practices.
- Long-Form Content Creation
- Edit and structure longer videos for YouTube with a focus on editing techniques for optimised audience retention, story progression, selecting the right B-roll, and cutting unnecessary footage to maintain narrative flow.
- Confidently edit videos in line with musical cues to enhance engagement storytelling and emotion.
- Collaboration & Ideation
- Work closely with the media and marketing teams to brainstorm and conceptualise on-brand video ideas.
- Actively participate in team meetings to share ideas and contribute to creative strategies.
- Social Media Optimisation & Trends
- Stay updated on the latest trends in video production and social media to ensure content remains relevant and competitive.
- Collaborate with the production and marketing teams to achieve content goals across all channels.
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably with a focus on the automotive industry
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of social platforms, their video requirements, and content trends.
- Strong time management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to incorporate feedback effectively.
- A diverse portfolio showcasing previous video editing work, both long form and short form.
- Must have IDLR/Full Rights to Work in UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/ provided.
- Motion Graphics and Effects: Experience incorporating text overlays, animations, and motion graphics into video edits.
- Video Analytics: Ability to monitor video performance metrics and use data-driven insights to refine future content strategies.
