We are looking for a Senior Project Manager (Data Centres) to join our team at Telehouse, London.
Working as a Senior Project Manager (Data Centres) you will be reporting to the Operations Manager responsible for the project, effectively and professionally lead the day-to-day management, within a medium to large scale multi-disciplinary data centre project, the specific scope discipline including, design, procurement, installation, logistics, compliance, commissioning, and project handover, within the Skanska construction team. Whilst ensuring the delivery to time, commercial performance, governance, and Skanska values are met during all phases of the project\’s delivery to the satisfaction of the client.
What you\’ll do:
- Ensures full compliance of design, engineering, construction, and commissioning processes.
- Add value to the design process by challenging solutions, methods, and techniques where appropriate to deliver works within the contract programme, improve build ability and reduce whole life costs and carbon.
- Develop and administer controls on the project or workplace and ensures full implementation and compliance.
- Understand/ develop/ scrutinise/ deliver/ monitor end to end programme. Responsible for creating Plan Bs in relation to specific package responsibility.
- Ensure project quality plan is in full compliance with company processes. Full understanding of all the processes and analyse the outputs and recognise trends, implement corrective actions. Monitor and record all quality metrics in accordance with corporate governance.
What you\’ll bring to the role:
- Extensive knowledge and experience to manage multiple disciplines/interfaces and work sequencing.
- Proven track record in successfully delivering within a team medium to large scale data centre MEP contract.
- Formal H&S training accreditations, minimum SMSTS.
- Proven track record in leading teams and projects.
- Experience and Knowledge in relation to the correct testing and commissioning of the specific package management.
- Have used appropriate project controls to oversee successful major project delivery.
- Proven experience of the type of work carried out in the data centre market.
- You are likely to have project teams working on medium & large data centre project within London areas and UK wide, with projects with a MEP value of over £20M. Having this experience of delivering such schemes is essential.
- Understanding of data centre commissioning process and the complexities this brings.
