Red Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an agricultural client that is known for its commitment to high-quality pig breeding and rearing, looking for a dedicated Fields Person to join our team in the East Yorkshire area. This position will be working within the existing team ensuring smooth running of pig health, welfare & movements across the farming business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with our contract growers and finishers.
  • Assisting with stock movements and advising on pig selection for slaughter ensuring they meet the target weight and quality.
  • Ensuring the day-to-day health of livestock is in line with RSPCA assurance standards and Company policy, advising when required.
  • Communication with the production team on a regular basis to ensure smooth running of all operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience with handling livestock and a keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare is essential for this role.
  • Ability to prioritise and complete tasks fully with strong attention to detail is a must.
  • The ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
  • You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Full UK Driving licence as travel between our farm locations is required - Scunthorpe and Lincoln.
