Shifts: Monday to Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday - 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. / Monday to Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday - 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Basic Salary: £25,600 + A 25% shift allowance will be paid to the afternoon shift.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating both manual and automated ceramic shelling processes and preparing moulds for casting. You will work with high-precision equipment, ensuring all materials and procedures meet strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate the KEA shelling line, running existing robotic programs.
- Ensure all materials meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Apply ceramic materials using correct techniques on both manual and automated shelling lines.
- Safely remove ceramic assemblies from metallic manipulation fixtures.
- Pre-heat ceramic moulds in low-temperature ovens (non-wax assemblies only).
- Operate Flash Fire Furnaces (Pacific Kiln) to process ceramic moulds.
- Clean ceramic moulds using the Weir wash system.
- Assemble ceramic moulds, preparing them for both vacuum and air melting casting processes.
- Report any maintenance issues to the shift supervisor immediately.
- Perform slurry testing and record results when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring housekeeping is kept to high standards.
- Experience in ceramic mould making or a related manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to work with both manual and automated processes.
- Experience with robotic systems is an advantage.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
