At RJM International, we are at the forefront of the global energy transition. As a world-leading engineering technology company, we enable energy producers to achieve efficient, reliable, and cost-effective low-carbon power generation.

We operate a twin-track strategy:

  • Helping existing energy assets reduce harmful emissions and improve efficiency, ensuring they remain a viable source of reliable power.
  • Driving innovation in biomass and Energy from Waste to enhance reliability and performance in the next generation of power solutions.

Our work is complex, bespoke, and pioneering. We don’t just optimise existing systems – we invent new ones. Our track record of innovation has earned us industry recognition, including the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation.

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the delivery of a complex, high-profile contract for DeNOx and DeDust systems at the Kosovo B Power Plant in Pristina. This 3-year, EU/government-funded project is being delivered through a consortium of three companies, with our scope focused on the design and supply of DeNOx equipment.

Working under the Project Board, you will be the central figure in ensuring the successful execution of our scope, responsible for project leadership, governance, coordination, and control. This is not just a high-level oversight role—you will also be expected to engage directly with documentation, reporting, and schedule management to ensure the programme remains on track.

If you have 15+ years of experience in engineering project management, a drive for making change in the global energy industry, and a track record of delivering complex power plant projects on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead the delivery of our contract scope in a complex consortium structure.
  • Coordinate internal teams, consortium partners, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Develop and maintain the project delivery schedule, risk register, and documentation suite.
  • Be involved in engineering meetings to understand the technical scope and status of the project.
  • Identify and mitigate risks – develop action plans to avoid delays and cost overruns.

Contract & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the principal liaison with the client (including EU and government stakeholders) for all project-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, EU standards, and reporting obligations.
  • Manage contract variations, claims, and negotiation with client and partners.

Supply Chain & Financial Control

  • Oversee procurement and delivery of DeNOx equipment from multiple countries.
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.
  • Evaluate bids and manage external subcontractors and engineering consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and RJM’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Maintain control of project cash flow, cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Produce clear, structured reports for internal leadership, the consortium, and client bodies.
  • Ensure traceability of decisions and documentation from design through to commissioning.
  • Ensure internal project and quality control processes are followed and documentation is produced and logged properly (with the support of project administration).

Team Leadership

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team across the UK and Kosovo.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Mentor junior project staff and ensure robust project control procedures are followed.

What We’re Looking For

We value talent and expertise, but we also recognize potential. If this role excites you but you don’t meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you.

Must-Haves:

  • 15+ experience working on coal power plant projects
  • Proven track record of delivering large, complex engineering or EPC projects (£20M+).
  • Experience working within a consortium or joint venture environment.
  • Prior knowledge of coal power generation and emissions control systems.
  • Extensive supply chain management experience across multiple countries.
  • High proficiency in project controls: schedule, cost, risk, and documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to Kosovo and work from the Winchester, UK office 3+ days per week.
  • Strong competency with MS Office suite including Project.

Bonus Points for:

  • Project management or construction management qualifications.
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent status.
  • Previous experience on DeNOx projects.
  • Familiarity with EU/government-funded contracts.
  • Experience in Eastern European or the Balkans region.
