Job Description: Due to the continued growth of the HV Department, we are seeking a HV Technician to carry out maintenance across the portfolio of PV and BESS sites, attend and rectify faults where possible, train/mentor our HV AP’s to continue the growth of the internal department, work closely with the HV management team to carry out remedial works across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • High and Low Voltage networks, conducting and controlling switching operations limited to solar, or energy storage plants. (Boundary will be from the Customer Incoming Circuit breaker to the LV isolator.)
  • Undertake maintenance on HV equipment ranging from 6kv – 132kv
  • Applying control measures to ensure that when maintenance is carried out, all significant hazards have been removed.

Requirements:

  • Gold JIB Card or NVQ level 3/AM2 or equivalent approved electrician status required
  • BS7671 18th edition wiring regulations
  • HVAP or SAP qualification
