Hotel Manager – Brownsover Hall Hotel
Nestled within 7 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, the newly refurbished, Brownsover Hall Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel with 47 rooms. Our mission is to create a destination that offers an unforgettable experience, combining elegance, exceptional service, and serene surroundings. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Hotel Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Brownsover Hall Hotel. This is a hands-on, leadership role for someone with a passion for hospitality, where you will be responsible for delivering first-class service to our guests and ensuring that all departments work together in harmony to create memorable experiences.
As Hotel Manager, you will be the face of the hotel, setting the tone for service excellence, and driving operational standards across all areas of the hotel. You will work closely with the Group General Manager, senior leadership, and a small, dedicated team to ensure the hotel thrives as a must-visit destination. You will also oversee building maintenance, liaise with contractors, and ensure ongoing refurbishment work is completed on time and within budget for the next phases of the development.

Proposed start date, 1st July 2025, interviews 12th and 13th May 2025.
THE ROLE:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring efficient service and the highest standards are maintained across all departments.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency are consistently achieved.
- Create a memorable experience for every guest, managing feedback, resolving complaints, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Take responsibility for managing upcoming projects and maintaining the hotel's assets to ensure they align with the hotel's brand and high standards.
- Lead a team with an emphasis on teamwork and communication, conducting regular meetings to ensure open, transparent communication across all departments.
- Ensure the hotel complies with health, safety, hygiene, and legislative requirements, keeping both guests and colleagues safe.
- Work with the Group General Manager to monitor financial performance, manage budgets, control costs, and drive profitability.
- Engage with guests, handling any concerns and providing exceptional customer care.
- Assist in the recruitment and development of senior staff, helping them grow professionally and take ownership of their roles.
- Oversee building maintenance, liaise with contractors, and ensure ongoing refurbishment work is completed on time and within budget.
THE PERSON:
- A dynamic, hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality and committed to delivering outstanding service to every guest.
- Due to the support of our senior management team this role would suit an experienced operations manager looking for their next challenge, or a hotel manager at the start of their career in management, looking for an exciting property and company to join.
- Strong communication and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a small team.
- An individual who is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to drive continuous improvement across all departments.
- Someone with a good understanding of financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and maximising revenue.
- Hands-on experience in hotel management, preferably within a boutique or luxury hotel setting.
- A natural problem-solver who is calm under pressure and adept at resolving issues efficiently.
- A charismatic personality, able to build rapport with guests and staff alike, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
- Knowledgeable in health and safety procedures and committed to maintaining a safe environment for everyone.
